Ranking The New NBA Nike Uniforms. There are two things the basketball community loves about NBA uniforms. Basketball Twitter/fans love to rock great- looking, sleek jerseys of their favorite players and fans.

Even at music festivals, you’ll see some hipster wearing an Adam Morrison Bobcats jersey or a Robert Swift Sonics jersey or the holy grail, the Rasheed Wallace Hawks jersey. Throw out a stylish jersey design and a player everybody loves; those jerseys will sell like hot cakes or gluten- free, hormone- free flaxseed pancakes. The second thing people love about NBA uniforms: roasting poor designs and bad attempts at sticking out in a fashionable way. Throw out a bad logo or jersey concoction and the NBA team will be treated like the Curry 2s for weeks. With NBA on- court apparel licensing moving from Adidas to Nike this season and beyond, new designs and concepts have popped up left and right for every NBA team. No longer do teams have home and away kits with Nike. Teams will choose darker or lighter color schemes.

We’ll also see plenty of alternate uniforms and throwbacks. With this big change in NBA apparel, it makes sense to rank the uniform schemes of all 3. NBA teams. I mean, what else do we have to do right now? I’ve gone ahead and ranked all 3.

Here is how the rankings are determined in all of their complicated, formulaic wonder: It is completely subjective — remember that. Rankings factor in how different uniforms are from the previous iteration, either in a good or bad way. Almost no change will be considered boring and a knock.

A bad change will be considered a knock. A good change is obviously good. For those jerseys that have announced a patch, it better not look dumb. I don’t really like purple jerseys. Does that mean it’s a bad thing to have?

No, plenty of people (Kings, Suns, Lakers, etc.) like purple in their team’s jerseys. I don’t, so it’s going to hurt some teams unless it’s absolutely amazing. Let’s be completely out there with color preference here. I’m not big on orange, either.

Alternates carry a lot of weight even if they’re not the regular jerseys. I can’t stress enough how much personal bias and taste factors in here, so we may not agree. Sometimes a coin flip decides the ranking between two teams. Being in the low 2. There are some really cool uniforms in the NBA and not everybody can be top- 1. Typically, there are only 1. Some teams not in the top half or 2.

Without further ado, let’s rank some new Nike jerseys. Oklahoma City Thunder. Had it not been for that terrible Los Angeles Clippers rebrand not too long ago, the Thunder jerseys would have been the worst in the NBA. The blue is uninspiring, the font is mediocre, and nothing pops about the look. It’s crazy to have Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook or (now) Russell Westbrook and Paul George without a jersey that looks spectacular on a nightly basis. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Nike is doing too much to change that. The Association and Icon looks for the Thunder jerseys are pretty much the same as last season.

  • "It's showtime!" In this part film à clef, part musical phantasmagoria, director/choreographer Bob Fosse takes a Felliniesque look at the life of a driven entertainer.

OKC won’t have a jersey patch this season, so that left jersey shoulder strap will remain unpopulated for now. The Thunder even got rid of the orange uniforms. While the remastered uniforms don’t do them any favors, there is a tiny bit of hope with their alternate “Statement” jerseys. The Statement uniform could serve as a great colorway for them on the court this season. Watch Online Watch September Runs Red Full Movie Online Film there. This won’t save the Thunder and their aesthetic this season, though.

They bring up the caboose in this uniform- ranking locomotive. Indiana Pacers. I will start by saying there seem to be plenty of Indiana Pacer fans on Twitter who like this new jersey design. Impractical Jokers Season 2 Episode 25 here.

Ultimately for the Pacers, all that matters is their own fans want the gear and are ready to buy Myles Turner and Victor Oladipo jerseys. However, I am not a Pacer fan and don’t like the look of these jerseys. I do enjoy the shorts and think the designs on the side panels are quite workable, but the circular pattern around the numbers bugs me.

The tagline the Pacers went with for this new design is “We grow basketball here,” which I’m not entirely sure is accurate. These throw back to the Hickory High jerseys the Pacers designed from the movie “Hoosiers.” I dislike those ketchup and mustard jerseys quite a bit and don’t think the Pacers should wear those. These new jerseys aren’t as bad as the Hickory ones, but the design hurts them a lot. Sometimes they look bad on a mannequin and they look good on the players themselves. Let’s see if the Pacers players can pull these off and turn me around on them. If that happens, I’ll repost them higher in this article, but still keep my initial thoughts.

Nope. These jerseys are still real bad. The team name is too close in proximity to the numbers. Ranking them 2. 9th in the NBA may be a little harsh, but I think they messed up the chance at a good rebrand. It makes me miss the Reggie Miller ’9.

The Jazz Singer is a 1927 American musical film. As the first feature-length motion picture with not only a synchronized recorded music score, but also lip. Frank Vincent Zappa (December 21, 1940 – December 4, 1993) was an American musician, composer, activist and filmmaker. His work was characterized by nonconformity. Plot outline, cast information, and user comments. Damien Chazelle’s new film, which stars Miles Teller and J. K. Simmons, honors neither jazz nor the cinema; it’s a celebration of petty mastery.

The Statement gold jerseys are probably the best of the bunch. Again, this won’t boost them enough in my book to put them higher than 2.

They may think they grow basketball there, but they don’t grow the uniforms I want to look at. Atlanta Hawks. The only version of these Hawks jerseys I can mildly get behind: the red alternates. The illuminati, Phil Jackson offense pattern on the jerseys works best with the red colorway. ATL” across the chest looks good. The number font with the yellow color looks good. Even the Share. Care patch seems to fit with what the Hawks do in their Statement uniforms.

The rest of the designs with the Icon and Association fits still don’t do it for me. Atlanta has the option to mix and match the red and black colorways, which is something no other team does with its uniforms. Why? It doesn’t look good when they do it. The triangles on the white uniforms stand out too much, like an unfinished Tomb Raider puzzle.

It’s better in the black uniforms, but it still looks like a Magic Eye poster that allegedly has a boat hidden in it. If the Hawks use the Statement uniforms more often than the others, it’ll work out for them.

Otherwise, just hope for an eventual rebranding to the old Dominique Wilkins design scheme. New Orleans Pelicans. Watch Brazil HIGH Quality Definitons. The New Orleans Pelicans use the new slogan and hashtag “Do It Big” heading into this season. With Anthony Davis and De. Marcus Cousins on the court together, that motto makes sense. They’re trying to change the trend of the NBA going small by showing big men can still run this stuff. If it ends up working, the Pelicans could be in a position to truly make some waves around the NBA.

If it doesn’t, they’ll be in danger of losing one big man and the clock on the other will tick louder and louder. Somewhere the Pelicans didn’t follow their own slogan with their uniforms. They didn’t do anything big. They just did it the same as last season by going with the same designs and colorways with their three main uniforms. The white, blue and red getups for New Orleans remain in all of their mundane glory. It’s a shame that such a colorful and unique city like New Orleans has such bland uniforms from its basketball team.

I’m sure we’ll eventually get a Mardi Gras- themed endeavor from Nike and the Pelicans. Maybe it’ll look really good. As for now, the Pelicans rerun the same tired jerseys without anything fun replacing them. Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves want to hit the big time this season. They’ve rebranded with a new logo. We see Tom Thibodeau back with Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson.
